About 95 homes have been destroyed following out-of-control wildfires in Western Australia.

The blaze has torn through the small rural town of Yarloop, south of Perth - fanned by blustery hot winds.

It is believed the wildfires began after lightning struck on Wednesday.

Locals have described it as a 'fireball' which completely destroyed everything in its path.
