Fire at 63-storey Dubai hotel just as NYE celebrations were set to begin

Blaze is reportedly engufling forty stories of the 5-star hotel

The Address Hotel, a five-star hotel in downtown Dubai, was seen ablaze tonight.

The fire appears to spread from the ground floor up to approximately the 40th floor of the 63-storey building.

The hotel is right across the road from where locals were preparing to celebrate the New Years Eve events, and is in the proximity of the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building.

It is still unclear what caused the fire, but authorities have claimed that nobody has been injured.

Early reports claim that the fire is only on the outside of the building, but it's also been reported that burning debris began to rain down on the streets below.
