WATCH: Met Éireann issues three weather alerts, as Storm Eva approaches

Met Éireann has issued three weather alerts around the country.

An orange wind warning is in place for Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Clare.

It says southerly winds could reach speeds of 65km/h - gusting from 100 to 120km/h.

While a yellow wind warning is in place for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford.

Met Éireann says southerly winds of average speeds of 60 to 65km/h are forecast, gusting up to 110km/h.

And a yellow weather advisory has been issued for Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Clare.

A developing storm is expected to track to the west and northwest of Ireland later Wednesday and Wednesday night.

Met Éireann says it will bring some severe winds to coastal counties of the west and northwest.

The storm has been named Eva, as there is an orange status wind warning in operation for counties Clare, Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Donegal.

The warnings are in effect from 1.00pm Wednesday.
