Iraq: 26 people from Qatar kidnapped

At least 26 people from Qatar have been kidnapped by gunmen in Iraq.

Officials suggest they are being held in a desert area near the border with Saudi Arabia.

Locals say they were part of a group on a hunting expedition that had travelled from Qatar.

The hostages were likely taken from an area of Iraq near to the Saudi Arabian border. via Google Earth
