Today

It will be mostly cloudy today, with occasional outbreaks of rain and drizzle, heavy in places, especially in Connacht and much of Ulster during the morning.

It should become mainly dry in Ulster later this afternoon.

It will be misty in many areas, with hill and coastal fog.

It will be very mild, with fresh to strong south to south-west winds at first, veering south-westerly and gradually easing.

Maximum temperatures 16C to 19C.

Tonight

Tonight will start off mainly dry in the west and north, with a few breaks in cloud.

Otherwise the night will be mostly overcast and misty, with patches of rain and drizzle, moving gradually northwards to all areas by morning.

Minimum temperatures of 10C to 15C with the lowest values in the west and north.

Winds mostly moderate south-westerly, backing southerly.
