Thursday's weather: Dry and clear with outbreaks of rain developing; Highest temperatures 15C to 17C

Today

Today will be dry and clear to begin, with sunshine in the morning.

However cloud will build from the west and outbreaks of rain and drizzle will develop along Atlantic coasts before the end of the morning.

Rain will gradually extend eastwards through the course of the afternoon, reaching the east in the evening time.

Afternoon temperatures will be between 15C and 17C degrees with strengthening southerly winds.

Tonight

Tonight rain and drizzle will be widespread, turning heavy and persistent at times in the north and northwest.

Lowest temperatures will be between 12C and 15C degrees, coolest in the north, and it will feel humid in fresh to strong, south to southwest winds.
