WATCH: Does Ireland really need a president?

Columnist Ian O'Doherty was on Newstalk Breakfast today to chat about whether or not Ireland has a need for a president

A recent 'Ireland Thinks' survey showed that over 75% of people said they wanted President Michael D. Higgins to serve a second term.

However, Ian O'Doherty, columnist with the Irish Independent, has questioned whether or not we need a president at all. He joined Newstalk Breakfast's Shane Coleman and Paul Williams this morning to discuss the matter...
