Cyclist dies after road traffic collision in Cork

A female cyclist has died after a road traffic collision involving a tractor.

Gardaí are investigating the incident on the N28 Cork/Ringaskiddy Road. It happened on Wednesday at around 1.00pm.

Gardaí say the female cyclist suffered serious injuries. The driver of the tractor was uninjured.

The body of the woman, aged in her 60s, has been removed to Cork University Hospital where a post mortem examination will take place.

Traffic diversions are in place and forensic collision investigators are at the scene.
