Cool, mostly sunny and dry in many places to begin Thursday, but showers - mainly in Atlantic coastal counties at first - will spread eastwards this afternoon and evening.
Some of the showers will be locally heavy and prolonged, with a risk of thunder.

Becoming largely dry tonight, apart from the odd light shower along the Connacht and Ulster coasts, with long clear periods developing.
Lowest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees Celsius in mainly light northwest or variable breezes, with a few mist and fog patches developing around dawn.
