A man has been arrested at Dublin Airport in connection with a botched gangland hit in the north inner city.

The suspect in his 30s is allegedly linked to the Kinahan crime cartel.

He was arrested last night and can be held for questioning for up to seven days.

The suspect has alleged links to Kinahan crime gang.

The arrest comes as part of the investigation into the attempted murder of James 'Mago' Gately on the north side of Dublin in May.

Mr Gately was gunned down at a busy Topaz garage in May – but survived the attack.
