Today

Scattered heavy showers will affect the north and west to begin today; drier elsewhere with some morning sunshine.

Showers will however become more widespread through the day, with the threat of some thundery downpours, especially over Ulster.

Some mild sunny spells at times through the day too though.

Top temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees Celsius (west to east).

Southwest breezes will be mainly moderate in strength, but winds will increase fresh around coastal areas and during heavier showers.

Tonight

Some further scattered showers overnight but long dry spells developing too. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees Celsius, in light to moderate southwest breezes.

Turning misty locally.
