Mostly cloudy today with outbreaks of rain.

The rain will be persistent and locally heavy across Munster and south Leinster with hill mist, but more intermittent further north.

Much of Ulster and north Connacht will remain dry with a few sunny spells.

The rain will clear east and the evening will be dry everywhere.

Cool. Highest temperatures 15 to 18 degrees.

Tonight

Dry in all areas tonight with good clear spells.

A few mist patches may form inland.

Light northerly breezes. Cool.

Lowest temperatures 8 to 10 degrees.
