Today

It will be largely dry today with some sunny spells - longest in Ulster and north Connacht.

More in the way of cloud further south with a few patches of drizzle possible near the south coast.

In the late afternoon there is a small risk of a few showers breaking out in south Leinster and east Munster.

Top temperatures will range 17 to 21 degrees with mostly light, variable winds but a fresh southwesterly breeze will develop along the north coast later in the day.

Tonight

Any lingering showers in the southeast will clear away overnight to leave most places dry with clear spells.

However, towards the end of the night cloud will thicken in the northwest with outbreaks of rain moving in.

Overnight lows of 9 to 12 degrees. Winds will be generally light, southwesterly in direction but fresher along the north and northwest coast.
