First round of acts announced for Metropolis festival

A big throwback act leads the lists

The first round of acts for this year's Metropolis Festival have been announced.

TLC, Jungle and Mount Kimbie lead the charge for the festival at the RDS Arena over the October Bank Holiday weekend, with other names including DJ Deece, Booka Brass Band, Richie Hawtin, Leftfield, Death In Vegas and Bonzai.

The show will be TLC's first ever Irish performance, with the band releasing a brand new record this month. Fans can also be sure to hear seminal tunes like Ain’t 2 Proud 2 Beg, Unpretty, Creep, No Scrubs and Waterfalls.

Ever expanding London collective Jungle will be bringing their funk and soul to the RDS for their only Irish show of 2017, and their first Irish show since their appearance at 2016's Forbidden Fruit Festival.

The unique indoor event also offers a wealth of art installations, performance and conversation over 6 stages.
