The Department of Foreign Affairs is providing consular assistance
An Irish teenage girl has drowned on the Greek island of Crete.
It is understood the girl was found in a swimming pool yesterday afternoon.
The girl was reportedly found by her parents, and an ambulance was called.
Paramedics tried to resuscitate her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Department of Foreign Affairs say it is aware of the case and is providing consular assistance to her family.
