Cyclist dies after south Dublin collision

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision in Dublin.

The collision involved a male cyclist aged in his 50s and a car on at Butterfield Park in Rathfarnham.

The cyclist received serious injuries at around 8.10am on Monday and was taken to Tallaght Hospital.

He was pronounced dead on Monday night as a result of his injuries.

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators examined the scene and the local Coroner has been notified.
