Gardaí say human remains have been discovered in Co Monaghan.

The discovery is part of the ongoing investigation into the death of James Nolan, who went missing in November 2010.

The remains were found at Lough Na Glack near Carrickmacross.

Searches have been taking place at the site since June 6th.

The coroner and state pathologist have been notified.

According to Gardaí, the remains have yet to be identified and enquiries are ongoing.

Searches are also continuing at the site.
