Two men have been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into dissident republican activity
A number of roads have been closed in Dublin as a bomb squad attends a scene in the inner city.
Gardaí say they stopped and searched a vehicle on Spring Garden Street, Ballybough at around 6pm as part of an investigation into dissident republican activity.
Two men were arrested at the scene, and are being held at Clontarf Garda Station.
The army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal team is said to be en route to the scene, and roads in the area are currently closed.
Gardaí say their investigations are ongoing.
