A generally dry start in the east with some early morning brightness. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle across Atlantic counties, will however extend countrywide during the morning, turning heavy locally.

Mostly overcast and damp or even wet at times through the day, but with some brightness moving into west and northwest areas later. Highest temperatures 14 to 17 degrees Celsius, in moderate to fresh south to southwest breezes.

Lingering rain or drizzle, up along the eastern counties, will clear in to the Irish Sea early tonight. Becoming mostly dry countrywide, apart from a few showers showing up closer to the Atlantic coastline.

A cool night, with lowest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees Celsius, in light west to southwest breezes. Mist or fog patches locally.
