DUP call on McGuinness to retract PSNI comments

Deputy First Minister warned Sinn Fein considering withdrawing support for policing in Northern Ireland

The DUP is calling on the North’s Deputy First Minister to retract comments he made about the PSNI.

Martin McGuinness warned that Sinn Féin is considering withdrawing its support for policing in Northern Ireland, if Gerry Adams is charged.

The Former IRA commander also said that the peace process is being undermined by what he described as a “small cabal” in the PSNI.

Gerry Adams remains in police custody in Antrim this afternoon in connection with the IRA murder of Jean McConville.

Dup MP Jeffery Donaldson says Sinn Féin need to realise no one is above the law.
