This has been a bugbear of many iPhone users since the update
iOS 10 brought a number of new features to iPhone owners. Some were innovative, such as the 'voicemail to text' feature, whilst others were very gimmicky, such as the 'text to emoji' feature. One change that seems to have irritated a number of users involves the home-button.
A number of iPhone owners found that "Voice Control" kicks in when they try to unlock their phone. The reason for this is they are holding down the home button for too long. This is, for want of a better phrase, a pain in the face. There is a was to stop it from happening, but it's not straight forward.
This is a bit tricky because Voice Control cannot technically be disabled, but here is a workaround.
To get around this you must enable Siri, which overrides Voice Control. Here's a step-by-step guide.
