KFC has you covered...
Fans of both Kentucky Fried Chicken and manicures are in luck if they're visiting Hong Kong, as the global fast food chain rolls out chicken-flavoured, edible nail polish in the country as part of a new advertising campaign.
The polish is made from "natural ingredients" and is currently being tested in two flavours - original and hot 'n' spicy – and bright orange and nude colours.
The polish comes with a designer bottle and box and the instructions: "To use, consumers simply apply and dry like regular nail polish, and then lick – again and again and again".
Advertising firm Ogilvy & Mather and McCormick food technicians are behind the move to make FC truly "finger lickin' good", with consumers being asked to vote for their favourite flavour to go into mass production in the coming months.
John Koay, creative director at Ogilvy & Mather, said:
"The recipe for our edible nail polish is unique and was specifically designed to hold the flavor, but to also dry with a glossy coat similar to normal nail polish.
"This campaign is designed to be intriguing and fun to increase excitement around the KFC brand in Hong Kong".
