A site with planning permission for a retail unit or cafe at ground level and seven two-bedroom apartments on the upper floors will go on the market today.

Brian Gaffney of agents Murphy Mulhall is looking for offers starting at €1.35m, according to The Irish Times.

The site is situated between the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre and the river.

Lawrence and Long Architects have plans lodged with Dublin City Council. It includes "bronze sliding screens and louvres to animate the facades, and provide a depth to the building," according to the firm.

The site is currently occupied by a single storey building which is occupied by Crown.
