It's not all about €800 smartphones, you know...
Last week we placed the iPhone 6S against some of the best high-end devices on the market at present to see which provides better value for consumers. This week, however, we want to look at what you can get without breaking the bank.
Here's your guide to the best smartphones for under €300.
Microsoft Lumia 535 - €54.00
If all you want from your smartphone is to be able to make calls and send texts, this is the one for you. Running the Windows Phone operating system, this device is a solid companion but may struggle with you want to multi-task.
Huawei Y6 - €169.99
Huawei are one of my favourite brands at the moment. They produce high quality devices at a very reasonable price. The 5.0-inch screen gives users plenty of space to play around with. The only downside to this device is that there's only 8GB of internal storage, meaning the purchase of a microSD card is a necessity.
The 8MP camera takes lovely images and it's hard to beat in this price-range.
Vodafone Smart Ultra 7 - €199.99
Vodafone have been knocking it out of the park in recent times when it comes to producing their own-brand devices. The Smart Ultra 7 ticks so many boxes and is an excellent option for any Vodafone customers looking to get a new device, without having to part with too much cash.
HTC Desire 825 - €219
HTC are really knocking it out of the park when it comes to the mid-level market. They know how to produce beautiful phones with high functionality and great features. The 825 has an excellent battery life that will get any user through the day and a stunning 13MP rear camera. This device costs €219.
Sony Xperia XA - €299.99
Sony are a premium brand, so much so that even their budget produces feel luxurious. There's a 13MP camera and a 2300mAh battery. The only thing worth noting about this device is that a micro SD card is a necessity as there's only 16GB of built in storage.
