Cairo restaurant was targeted by disgruntled former employee
The death toll from a Cairo bombing has risen to 16 people.
A molotov bomb was set off at a niteclub, in a southern part of the Egyptian capital.
Egypt's state-run news agency MENA quoted an unnamed security official as saying three men on a motorcycle threw Molotov cocktails into the club in the Agouza district and then fled.
A number of others were wounded.
Islamist militants have claimed a number of bombing and shooting attacks in Egypt.
Most have been against members of the security forces since the army toppled President Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood in 2013 after mass protests.
