One of the Fine Gael ministers running coalition talks has ruled out a 'grand coalition', saying Fianna Fáil have no interest in it.

But Simon Coveney will not be drawn on whether Fine Gael could end up supporting a minority government, with Micheál Martin as its leader.

The two large parties are today continuing talks with smaller parties and independents, hoping to form a viable minority government.

But the Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney says there is now no prospect of a 'grand coalition'.
