Enda Kenny urged supporters to give the government another five years
Taoiseach Enda Kenny has told Fine Gael supporters they cannot allow the public to give Fianna Fáil another chance in government.
He was speaking a rally of party supporters at its election headquarters in Dublin.
In a speech that was at times emotional, Mr Kenny urged supporters to help give the government another five-year mandate.
And he said those supporters could not stand by while Fianna Fáil tried to return to government.
He also told supporters Fine Gael had put too much effort into saving the economy, to give away power now.
