A 45-year-old woman has appeared in court charged in connection with the death of a man in Tipperary at the weekend.
Inga Ozolina, with an address of 2 The Malthouse, Roscrea is charged with assault causing harm to Audrius Pukas.
The 40-year-old man, who lived at the same address as the accused, was found with stab wounds in the apartment complex in the early hours of Sunday morning.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detective Garda Stewart Beattie gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution of Ms Ozolina at Nenagh garda station at 6.12pm yesterday evening.
When charged, Ms Ozolina replied: "I disagree with the charge. I did not assault this man. We did have a fight, I acted in self defence."
At Thurles District Court, judge Elizabeth McGrath granted bail, despite garda objections, to Ms Ozolina on her own bond of €1,000 cash plus an independent surety of €5,000.
€2,000 of this is to be lodged in cash.
The case is due back before Nenagh District Court on December 22nd.
