A 13-year-old boy has died following a single vehicle crash in Co Wicklow.
The driver of the car has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
He is scheduled to appear before Bray District Court later today.
The teenager was a passenger in a car that crashed into a ditch near Annamore at 6.40am this morning.
After the collision the boy and the driver of the car began walking along the road towards Roundwood.
They were picked up by a passing car, but the boy's condition deteriorated and he died en-route to Loughlinstown Hospital.
The driver of the car, a man aged in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and brought to Wicklow garda station.
The Roundwood to Annamoe road has been closed to allow for a forensic examination of the scene.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact gardaí.
