It's been a busy week in the world of US politics, satire and YouTube
It's been a busy week in the world of US politics, with Donald Trump officially securing the Republican Presidential nomination. While this has serious implications on the political sphere, it provided great fodder for comedians, satirists and commentators alike. Here's just some of our favourite bits from the week.
Anyone who has even the faintest interest in US politics had been looking forward to the convention for some time. Presenter of The Late Show, Stephen Colbert, managed to sum up just how excited everyone was.

Mrs. Trump was delivering her speech at the Republican National Convention and very soon after the speech ended, people started to point very stark similarities between it and a speech made by Michelle Obama in 2008. Just watch how some of the late night shows in the US dealt with this news.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert:

Late Night with Seth Meyers:
Trump formally accepted the Republican Party's nomination and delivered a speech filled with dramatic pauses and entertaining faces. Just watch.
