Euro 2016 got underway last night
Police in riot gear fired tear gas after some football supporters were involved in violence in Marseille last night.
Footage on social media shows bottles and objects being thrown at police, in the second night of violence in the French town.
A video taken by Press Association photographer Owen Humphreys, as he was driving to his hotel, shows a flare burning and a man throwing a chair at the Red Eagle Cafe in the Rue de la Republique in Marseille.
The incident is believed to have taken place as the first game in Euro 2016 kicked off.
The summer tournament got underway yesterday and saw the hosts beat Romania 2-1 in the opening game.
