Vodafone Ireland has announced a new approach to roaming throughout Europe. The 'Red Connect' tariff gives customers unlimited calls and texts back to Ireland within 32 European countries, without being charged extra. Users will also have access to all of their home data and international allowances as part of this tariff. 

This means that customers, who have opted into the new tariff, can use their phone in countries such as Spain, as they would here in Ireland. 

Pay As You Go customers can opt in for a new service called 'Chat Extra', which will provide unlimited cross network calls with unlimited cross network texts and 1GB of data for €20. This now leaves consumers with three options; €20 Chat Extra and Data Extra and €30 Extra. 

Introducing the refreshed plans, Vodafone Ireland Consumer Director, Lutfu Kitapci said, “We understand that consumers want simple and transparent mobile phone plans so we are delighted to introduce our revised bill pay and Pay As You Go tariffs.  We know that many customers turn off their data when abroad because they worry about bill shock.  Red Connect is a first for the Irish market giving customers a full European plan so they can use their phones the same way at home or abroad without any worry about additional costs”.
