Two men have died in separate workplace accidents on farms today.
A man in his 20s died on his father's farm in County Wexford when his quad bike overturned and went into a drain.
Separately, a farmer in his 70s was killed in Birr, Co Offaly when he was struck by a tractor.
The Health and Safety Authority is investigating both incidents.
Sinn Féin Agriculture spokesperson Martin Kenny TD expressed sympathy to the families of the two men.
He said: “I am shocked to hear of two more farm fatalities today, following a tragic death in Arigna, Co Roscommon at the weekend.
“These men were part of the farming community and we are all affected by such tragedies [...] I extend my sympathies to the families and friends of the three men."
