The men aged in their 30s are being held in Togher garda station.

The smuggled cigarettes - branded 'Bravo', 'BN' and 'L&M Blue' - have a retail value of more than €7,500.

Revenue say this represents a potential loss to the exchequer of €4,500.

The pair are set to appear in Cork District Court on Saturday.
