Rain will move from the western half of the country into eastern areas
Tuesday will begin generally dry with some sunny spells across the country - mainly in the east. However, cloud will increase and scattered showers will gradually develop.
Most of the showers will occur across the western half of the country early on, later moving into eastern areas, a few heavy ones possible at that point.
Highest temperatures will range from 14 to 18 degrees (best values for eastern counties), several degrees below normal for mid-July. Winds will be mainly moderate west to northwest.
It will be dry across most areas tonight with some clear spells. However, some showers will once again push into Atlantic counties later. Lowest temperatures will be between 8 to 10 degrees, in light to moderate westerly breezes.
