Cloudy in most parts of the country for a time today, with outbreaks of rain, persistent and heavy in some areas this morning, especially in parts of Munster and in the midlands and north.
Misty also, with fog, especially on coasts and hills.
Brighter, mainly dry conditions along west and southwest coasts will spread gradually eastwards during the morning and afternoon, eventually clearing eastern coastal areas this evening.
Maximum temperatures 17 to 20 Celsius, in light southerly or variable breezes, becoming westerly or variable.
Tonight will be mainly dry, with clear intervals developing everywhere, but a few isolated showers may occur along west and northwest coasts.
In slack winds, patches of mist and fog will develop, staying quite cool.
Minimum temperatures 7 to 10 Celsius.
