The trial of a South African model accused of harassing Dylan McGrath has been postponed because the celebrity chef is recovering from back surgery.

Daphney Sanasie, who appeared in the Irish version of the show 'First Dates', has pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Ms Sanasie starred in the first episode of 'First Dates Ireland' under the name Federica.

She has an address at Jamestown Road, Dublin 8 but the court heard she is almost finished her studies here and is eager to move back to Cape Town.

The 26-year-old is accused of harassing Mr McGrath on various dates in September and November last year.

Mr. McGrath, who has starred as a judge in the Irish version of the 'MasterChef' TV show, was not in court today.

Judge Cormac Dunne heard he is recovering from back surgery and will not be able to give evidence at her trial on September 30th.

That trial date was cancelled and the case will return to court in six weeks for an update on his progress.

Judge Dunne heard gardaí have forensically examined two phones as part of their investigation.

A hardcopy of the contents was supplied to the defence, who were denied an order to have them independently analysed.

Ms Sanasie was remanded on continuing bail until October 28th.
