Japanese car manufacturer, Toyota has announced their plans to launch a flying car at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
The company is working with flying car startup Cartivator to develop a fully operational flying vehicle. The Japenese startup has developed a technology called 'SkyDrive' that is a three-wheeled bike whilst on the ground and can take to the skies with a number of propellers.
Cartivator describes the vehicle as the "world's smallest flying car".
In addition to a pledge of $375,000 to Cartivator, Toyota recently announced plans to set aside $9.3 billion for future technology investment. Toyota Chairman Takeshi Ichiyamada said
"Things will not progress if you wait and provide money only when the technology is ready..."
