Nearly a month has passed since devastating floods swamped the US state of Louisiana, killing 13 people and causing untold damage.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is reporting more than 134,000 households have registered for aid and 115,000 housing inspections have been completed.

CNN is reporting that there has been over $8.7 billion in damages with as many as 2,600 families or individuals are living in homes yet to be gutted or treated for mould.
Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards is campaigning for federal aid to help those affected.
