French officials are considering whether to prosecute a man with mental health problems who brandished a knife at the Eiffel Tower.
Police say the suspect had been recently been discharged from a psychiatric hospital, and tried to breach security at the tourist attraction.
The man's accused of glorifying terrorism, because he used the Arabic phrase for "God is great" during the incident.
A judicial official said the man shouted "Allahu akbar" and tried to access a secure zone.
A security source has reportedly claimed that the suspect wanted to attack a soldier.
He quickly surrendered when he was surrounded by security forces.
The tower was briefly evacuated during Saturday night's incident but there were no injuries.
It reopened to tourists as usual on Sunday morning.
