Ten puppies have been rescued after being found in cardboard boxes in County Kildare.

The dogs were discovered in a cream crackers box in Monasterevin.

Community group, Cara Rescue Dogs, has said the puppies are now safe and have called for anyone looking to adopt to get in touch.

In a Facebook post, the group said the pressure it is under is “colossal both financially and physically” and called for anyone who can help with the vet bill to make contact.
