Codec-dss has announced its plans to create 50 jobs at its new Galway office.

The tech company will begin recruitment for programmers, consultants and sales and administration staff immediately.

The Irish firm cited "dramatic growth" last year as the reason for its continued expansion, on the back of a €2.5 million investment.

It acquired Vulcan Solutions in 2016 and has increased its workforce by almost 25% since the acquisition.

As well as opening the doors of its office in Galway city in May, it established a Belfast office earlier this month to tap into the UK market.

Codec-dss already employs more than 180 people across seven offices in Dublin, Belfast, Cork, Galway, London, Germany and Poland, and has an annual turnover of €20m.

It was also announced today as Microsoft's  country partner for the year. It had previously won the same award, which recognises outstanding levels of excellence in innovation, expertise and customer satisfaction, in 2014.
