Information supplied by Met Éireann
Wet and windy at first, with heavy rain, in fresh to strong and gusty southeasterly winds. But a clearance to brighter conditions, with sunny spells and showers, soon in the southwest, will extend to the rest of the country by mid to late afternoon. Many of the showers will be heavy and possibly thundery too over Munster and west Connacht, but should be lighter and more scattered elsewhere.
Winds will veer south to southwesterly in the clearance and decrease moderate to fresh. Top temperatures of 7 to 11 C.
Misty and mostly cloudy tonight with widespread showers. Some of these heavy with a risk of thunder. Some fog in places also.
Lowest temperatures 2 to 6 C.
