There will be a chilly start to the day with dense fog and some grass frost.
Frost will clear quickly, but the mist and fog will only slowly lift through the morning to give bright, mostly dry conditions with sunny spells.
It will become cloudy and breezy in western areas, with outbreaks of rain developing on west and southwest coasts by nightfall.
Top temperatures will be between 13 to 15 degrees, while southeast winds will increase moderate to fresh generally, but will become strong and gusty on Atlantic coasts.
Tonight will be rather windy with rain at times overnight in southwestern and western coastal counties.
It will be mainly dry elsewhere with clear periods early in the night. Lowest temperatures will range from 9 to 13 degrees.
