Sunday's weather: A dull start with a brighter, clearer outlook later

Today

Today will be dull and misty in the early morning for much of the country, but brighter, clearer weather in the northeast of the country will extend southwestwards to all areas this morning.

There will be sunny spells and light winds and temperatures will reach between 13 and 15 degrees.

Moderate northwest winds at first will decrease light northerly.

Tonight

Tonight will be cold and clear with frost and fog patches.

Winds will be light variable in direction or calm.

Temperatures will fall to between 1 degree in the east and 6 degrees in the west.
