Back in 2013, director Steven Soderbergh declared that he was retiring from film directing.

That year he released two movies; his final official theatrical release, the psychological thriller Side Effects, and HBO biopic that managed a small window of big screen on this side of the pond, Behind The Candleabra.

Since then, he has kept very busy, directing episodes of period-surgery drama The Knick, and producing movies for others, including the Oscar-winning documentary CitizenFour and the sequel to his own stripper saga, Magic Mike XXL.

Earlier today, word had spread that he would be returning to the big screen director's chair for a movie titled Hillbilly Heist, staring Matt Damon.

In reponse, Soderbergh took to Twitter:

Since then, Variety have updated their story, with a title change - now known as Lucky Logan - and a change of leading man, with Channing Tatum reteaming with the director after working together on Haywire, Magic Mike and Side Effects.

No word on a plot yet, but according to Variety, "recently got his hands on the script and quickly fell in love with the premise."
