Fabian Delph and Raheem Sterling turned their backs on Aston Villa and Liverpool, respectively, in order to join Manchester City this summer.

The pair received abuse on social media, which depicted them as snakes, for the perceived lack of loyalty they showed to their respective clubs.

As the two new City players boarded their flight to San Marino for England's Euro 2016 qualifier, the two City players took a selfie with a hilarious caption and an ode to Samuel L Jackson's 2006 movie 'Snakes on a Plane'.
