It has emerged the four Afgan men found in a container coming off a boat at Rosslare Harbour had traveled from Cherbourg in France.
The discovery was made in the early hours of Monday morning by gardaí from the National Immigration Bureau (GNIB).
Gardaí intercepted and searched the container as it was being unloaded.

The group is being processed by immigration.
This latest incident follows the earlier discovery of nine Kurdish refugees in a truck on the Waterford-New Ross road at the weekend.
