Are you single, sporty and looking to donate some money to charity? A new speed dating event could be just for you.
One group is looking to kick off a new regular series of themed speed dating events, with the first targeted at anyone interested in sport.
Proposed future events include speed dating for accountants and speed dating for 'culchies in Dublin'.
The first event is due to be held in a Dublin city centre location on a weeknight, with full details to be announced shortly.
The four age categories for participants are 25-30, 30-35, 35-40 and 40-45.
Tickets will cost €20 and all funds raised during the first event will go towards the Irish Cancer Society.
Sinead Carr, who is organising the night, explained what speed dating has to offer in the age of Tinder.
"There's something to be said about face-to-face interaction," she told Newstalk. "And we think it will be a very time efficient way of meeting around 20 singletons!
"It's quite similar to online dating in that you're interacting with several people at the same time - but the fact we have themed events may make our success rate even better."
