Singer Black has died in hospital in County Cork.
The 53-year-old had been badly injured in a traffic accident on January 10th.
Black had a string of hits, and 15 albums, but will most likely be best remembered for 1987's "Wonderful Life".
Real name Colin Vearncombe, he had a home near Schull in West Cork, and had been driving to Cork Airport to catch a flight to Edinburgh when the accident happened.
He had been in a coma since, and according to his Facebook page he passed away from his injuries earlier today.
